Set in the heart of Brockton, this course can be surprisingly enjoyable at times.
If the pace of play isn't unbearable, which it definitely can be at times, some of the holes can be fun and challenging. This is a course for both the beginner and seasoned golfer, if they're looking for an ego boost.
The course conditions aren't so great, but are definitely manageable, and the greens are extremely slow which tend to be bumpy at times. The pace of play can really slow up on the first few holes, but tends to pick up after the 5th and 6th.
It's very reasonably priced and you can usually get a tee time there no problem. As with many public courses, this course has the potential to be one of the greats in MA. Lengthen a few holes and grow some grass on others and this course would be a gem. But due to the amount of play it gets, and I'm sure the lack of funds they have, the course ends up being the way it is.
