It can be challenging and fun at times and unenjoyable at others. The
course itself plays pretty straightforward. No hidden shots or gimmicks. The greens are
usually kept slow and the fairways are usually in good condition, but due to the lack of
draingage, the fairways can get soggy at times
The unenjoyable part is due to the slowness off play. The backup usually starts on the Par 5
2nd hole. It's pretty discouraging when you have a good 1st hole and then you come to the
second hole and have to wait 30 minutes to tee off because your group is 3rd on the tee.
The times that it's not slow though are fun. You can definitely shoot a good score here by
hitting it straight, without needing to be being long. There are large
greens that are hard to miss, but will require you to put a little stink on your putts as the
greens tend to be slow.
Tee times are required, but you should be able to call that day to get one. Grass driving range
and putting green add to the amenities as well as the ideally placed
snack stand in the middle of the course which you can hit on about 5 holes. I am usually good
for about 2 hot dogs by the 2nd hole...
